Dayton Independent School District

The City of Dayton is serviced by the Dayton Independent School District. The district operates independently from the City of Dayton, guided by their own administration and funded by their own taxes. Dayton ISD encompasses 263 square miles in Liberty County. Dayton ISD consists of four elementary schools, one middle school, one high school, and one alternative education center.

Public Transportation

The Liberty - Dayton Community Circular is a public transportation project of the Brazos Transit District, which serves the City of Dayton. Brazos Transit provides affordable and convenient transportation services and infrastructure to allow the general public access to goods and services. The Liberty - Dayton Community Circular operates from 9 am to 4 pm and operates on a fixed route system. Parks & Recreation

The city of Dayton has over 50 acres of parkland offering a range of parks and recreational assets and facilities that allow for active and passive recreational opportunities for our residents and visitors.

Utilities

Electric service in Dayton is provided by Entergy.  

Gas service is provided by CenterPoint Energy. 

Water, Sewer & Trash Services are handled by the City of Dayton, and its subcontractor Frontier Waste Solutions.
